ghott Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Hey guys...new to the site. A buddy of mine had his 95' Banshee stolen off the back of his pickup several months ago. He told me about the mods he had, and I'm going to list them the best I can remember. I was wondering if you guys could give me approximate horsepower numbers and some insight as to whether or not it would have been a strong runner. I rode it once, but it was about 3 years ago and don't really remember what it felt like. Here are the mods: Toomey T5 Pipes V-Force Reeds Port & Polish by Patriot Racing Bored .80 over Vitos Pistons Hot Rods Crank K&N Filter Keihin 34mm Carbs He said it was fast on asphault...but spun lots in dirt. I'm a 4-stroke guy myself...so I have no clue (don't hate please  ) Thanks Quote

dajogejr Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 doo we look like a dyno .... This guy asked an honest, simple question...you've been a member here since December of 2004...and that's your second post? Do us a favor, wait another two years before you make a thoughtful, informative and insightful post like that... To answer your question. Porting is the wild card there, depending on what type. I would say anywhere from 50 to 65 HP...or so. Again, depending on how aggresive and how well the porting was done. Patriot does very good work...so, it very well could've been higher. Also, was it a stock stroke hot rods crank, stroker crank...etc. A lot of variable...but, stock stroke with a decent port job...I think those figures are about right or so.... Quote
rocketboy Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 probably 60..maybe 65 for a patriot 350 port with t5 and bigger carbs IMO Quote
ghott Posted October 4, 2006 Author Report Posted October 4, 2006 Thanks for the replies guys. As for the crank..I'm not sure whether or not it was a stroker..if I were to guess, I'd bet that it wasn't. He did say that it was always a hastle to keep running right. But when it was right, it was extremely fast. Quote
ghott Posted October 4, 2006 Author Report Posted October 4, 2006 I really wish his quad wouldn't have gotten stolen. I would have liked to run him with either my TRX450R or YFZ450. I'd imagine I might be able to get him out of the hole, but it'd probably catch me pretty damn fast. Thanks again for the input guys. Quote
