banshee04le Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 what the deal witht the high and low settings on the screw in plates that hold the reed oto the cage does it make a difference which setting u use or not? I'm actually just guessing and I don't know if the difference would be very noticeable but I would say that you may get a little more reed life if you slide the stop all the way up to high tension, and you would get a little more performance with the stop all the way down on low tension. OR, high tension may give you a little better high rpm performance and low tension would give you better low to mid rpm performance. <---- I'm thinking the second guess is more right. Quote

Animalman294 Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 Yeah, I thought the VF-3's snapped into place................ Quote
grounded Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 Run the low tension for more response(shorted reed life) high tension is a trade off for response and longer life. Mine are high tension. Quote
