peterlocal22 Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 hello, i bought a new clutch hand lever and cant get the cable off the original lever. seems like theres a hockey puck shaped piece of metal at the end on the line that needs to be removed. are there any tipe of c clips holding it from coming off? i have to get this stupid lever off and the new one on so i can go riding this weekend. any help is appreciated. thanks Quote
ThE_BaNsHeE_mAn88 Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 you losen the cable up and there is a slot on the bottom of the lever pull the cable tawards the end of the handle bar. then pull down on the cable and it should come out. Quote
IROOST1 Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 I think he means the levers bent. I have two banshee cables just like that, the damn things wont come out. The levers seem to bend just right so you cant get the cable out. I just take a dremel with a cutting disk and cut the lever. The stock ones arent worth shit anyways. Quote
peterlocal22 Posted September 20, 2006 Author Report Posted September 20, 2006 couldnt get it off so i cut the lever at the insertion point of the cable. needless to say it fell right out. fit in the new lever and now im ready to go. thanks IROOST1 Quote
