r/atvshee Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 this one has me stumped :baseball_bat: ....its my dads banshee...it wont kick over but when we towed it, it ran perfectly fine. when it gets hot it would start without a problem. but after its cooled down it wont even kick over.....we've changed the sparkplugs on it and checked the wiring. everything is fine...could someone please help us out before this weekend because we have no idea of what can be wrong with it  Quote
Kickassfast1 Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 Hey Mine did the same thing. I check the compression and found out that I needed a top end rebuild. I would check the compression 1st. You can buy a compression tester for $30.00 at an auto parts store. make sure you get the right size. Quote
Screaming Yellow Zonker Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 it sounds like you aren't getting enough power while kicking. the stator sounds like its getting weak and when you pull start it your spinning the crank faster and making more current. I would check the volage output of your stator. Good luck. Quote
okbeast Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 I seem to have this problem somewhat also. I think my problem may be a jetting issue tho, too low of a pilot. I also have another stator on the way so maybe that'll help. Quote
