I was about to buy it and realized i could ask you all on your opinion . Im a +8 swinger and well the chain length can be a bitch some times . was wondering if you think this would eliminate the issue of the long chain wobblin when u really nail the gas .

That is the purpose of it, keep tension on the chain with the longer swingers.Ill be using one when I get my bike back together. Also good for making up the little difference in chain lenght adjustment.

Yep...looks like it replaces the stationary lower roller...

I'm only at +6 now, but...once I go 8 or 10...I've been thinking about this too...

Let us know, Chase...

that looks great for acceleration when the motor is pulling the top of the chain tight and the bottom of the chain has alot of slack, but what about when you decelerate? then the rear sprocket is pulling the top of the chain loose and the bottom of the chain tight. it seems to me that this tensioner would only work while you are accelerating. when you decelerate it would have no effect so i guess what im trying to say is i think its not a very usefull product.

i have video footage of me launching on asphalt and you can see the bottom half of the chain lookin like a fly fisherman . And overall that increase's my chance of a chain slip and a OH NO case break.

Think about an automatic chain tensioner on a 4poke.... They work...regardless....

Whether you're on the gas (accelerating) or off it...right?

Right now, there's no chain tensioner...just a upper and lower roller....as the suspension pivots.

I think it's a great idea....

on a 4 stroke, like my car for example, the tensioner is hydraulic and to top it off, its got a 1 way clicker so that it can never loosen, only tighten.

i still dont see how this would keep the chain tight on deceleration if theres no hydraulics or 1 way clickers involved.

fuck it , i got one used for 30 bucks shipped , tell me how i can go wrong at that price ....

Let us know how it works out chase, before I have to call a scientific symposium to figure the angle of the dangle....and so on...

At the very least, it is as good as the stock roller...and I'm sure it can't hurt....
