this is so wierd. i am having the exact same problem. i pulled everything apart to have my fram pc'ed, and to rebuild the top end. when i got it back together, no spark. i checked everything as per the owner's manual, and found a bad ignition coil. got new one today, and installed it. problem solved right, wrong. still no spark. i have checked my ground at the voltage regulator to various points and other grounds on the bike and all are good. i am out of ideas as well, buddy. it is very frustrating. anyway, sorry for stealing your topic, but we are having the same problem, so i figured whatever is going to help me, is going to help you and vice-versa. thanks for the help.

Start at the stator, check for cracks, insulation coating cracking off wires etc. Check the ground wire on the back of the stator is tight. Maybe even buy a new stator or borrow a friends. Take apart and clean the plugs where the stator goes to the wiring harness. Check the CDI plugs as well, double check connections everywhere. Make sure you have orange and black on the correct terminals on the coil. Check continuity with a volt meter on your ignition and killswitch and make sure one of them isn't stuck on/off. Cut your coil wires back a quarter inch and re-install your caps after cutting back. Test with new plugs.

this may sound like a really dumbass, newby question, but on the ignition coil, black to negative and orange to positive, right? thanks.

I have replaced my stock stator and my cdi i have gone over my harness a million times and i tried one of my friends coils but i'll check the kill switch. thank's... is it normal for them to go out? my shee was working fine other than a cracked case and worn rings a year ago!

You are probably just missing something simple. When that sort of thing happens to me I take everything out and start over fresh after a good nights sleep. Take your time and make sure everything is hooked up correctly.

thanks, but i don't have a tors onmy bike anymore. i put on the trinity 2 into 1 a long time ago. anyway, i took off all of my electrical components yesterday and bench tested them. even the wires. all was good, so i put it back on, and checked and cleaned all connections with contact cleaner. still nothing. this leads me to believe it is the cdi. i ordered a new one last night. will be here on tuesday. i bought the dynatek fs programmable ignition. what are your guys opinions on this box if you have it? what kind of difference is it making inyour higher rpm's as well as botteom end? thanks for all your help.
