I flew into a creek and the banshee was 1/2 way under water on its side but it still ran fine, better than it ever has for 4-5 hours after that but i wasnt sure if my clutch got wet or not because i was either spining or slipin the clutch, anyway should i change all the fluids just in case or should it be fine?? :headbang:

only way water got into your case is if A. you have a leak or B. it went down in your carbs.

but you said it was running fine? i dought any got inside the motor but what it cost to replace the fluids? 15-20 bucks? and a motor? id be safe and just replace them anyways. probly need to be done anyhow.

Ya thats what im thinking but anyway water did get into the box but not through the filter. i use a water resistant filter treatment but im not sure if it works on K&N type filters. i cover the filter ends with grease, i checked the inside before the carbs and it was dry so lucky me

Whats up pal?

Ive run into this same problem a number of times. Most likely no water got into your system but you should change the transmission oil just in case to be safe and to make yourself feel better. If the oil is milky like then water did get into your system. If this is the case you should change the oil twice.

You should also probably clean your air filter box and filter.

One more thing that I found out the hard way. Take your bike out side in the back yard or over some sand. Put it in gear and switch the gas to off. Lift the nose up, all the way until you can rest it on the back grab bar so it looks like its doing a wheely. Let it sit there for about fifteen minutes. Make sure you watch it for a couple of minutes to make sure there are no fluids leaking. However you may see some water, might be rusty color coming out from pin size holes in your frame. This is water build up with in the frame that needs to get out other wise it will rust out your frame from the inside out. Let it all come out. The banshee frame has alot of little holes through out it at differnet weld points. I have noticed when i go through water that water enters through differnet points and sits inside the frame until its removed. If you want you can take out the pegs and those two holes were the bolts go in are the bottom of the frame and thats usaully were the water will reside. Dont be affraid to squirt some oil in those holes before you bolt the pegs back on. This will help protect the insides of the frame. Anyways I throw my bike up every time after ive encountered water. I do it when im done rideing that day and for a couple days after.

I hope this helps and if you need any more help dont hesitate to pm me.
