i am thinking about getting a new k&n filter but i've heard that they will let so much air in that it lets sand and dirt in.i want to have some opinions on if i should get one for my banshee.thanx.

that is absolutely not the case. it does let more air in but keeps dirt and sand out. that is the whole purpose of upgrading. does your bike have stock pipes? do you have your airbox lid on? if you have aftermarket pipes (which i highly recomend) then you should look into something like this....cut and paste the link below. leaving a banshee stock is a sin!

take a look a toomey 2into1 filter setup kind same principle as pod but with a single foam filter,

looks good and makes jetting a breeze.
