I'm not sure if I should have posted on jet & exhaust but here goes.I was doing a search for carb stuff and came across a thread talking about these ufo's basically a filler to smooth transfer of air to jetting area under and through a round carb slide.I guess to make it more like a flat slide. To create better velocity and less turbulance. Sounds good in theory (like boost bottle)but, does it work?Any body have any opinions or evidence on this. I would not spend the 60 bucks to try this, but I think I could make them myself for about a dollar. Think it's worth a try?

If you have stock carbs now, I'd use the cash for aftermarket ones, you will be totally supprised at the differance a "D" or flat slide makes.

Like you said, these dividers are good in theory but IMO just another gimmick like boost bottles, splitfire plugs, etc.

Due to the sticky throttle issue that the banshee is famous for, myself and 3 of my friends all switched to aftermarket, larger carbs......let me tell ya....WOW!, should have done it long ago.

I figured flat slides were for real in performance(I don't know what D slides are) and I'm trying not to spend much money this year (kids & stuff), but like I said I can do it for a buck! And I,m having a lot of fun trying to squeeze out any ponies I can for cheap. Today I got a used set of v force 3's for free(almost gotta send stockers out for exchange)

There's certinly no harm in tryin, I think it may be a lost cause on a round slide.

A d slide is it's shape if you look at it from the end (flat on the front, arched on the rear)

The idea of the devider is to divy up the air flow, with a smaller opening air is sped up but flow (volume) is reduced, with a larger opening, opposite. That is the idea behind the v-force design, they split the cage opening into 4, affectivly increasing ventury speed through the peddals.

If you want low dollar options, look into moding the stator plate to advance your timing, take some material off the head (.025-.030), or lighten your flywheel.

I'll have to look, but I might have a set of bored stock carbs around here still. I'll let you know.
