so what would happen if you left the stock jetting in the carb and just bolted on some pipes? would it run lean? or would it just not be making the power that it could with extreme jetting? would it hurt anything if you left the stock jets mains, pilots, and didnt move the needle? dont worry, im getting my jets wednsday but i was wondering if it would hurt anything to run stock with pipes?

Yes, it would totally ruin your motor! Don't even start it untill you re jet. It might scream, untill it locks up!

I don't know about that.

When I first put on pipes on my first Banshee. I started it up a few times with stock jetting. It ran better than ever. It was actually the first tim eit ever started first kick!

Some dumbshit I knew "did my jets" on my way out to Glamis. Thing ran all fucked up. Couldn't make it up any hills. Once the jets got dialed in by a real tech, the bike was fine.

I didn't mean it would lock up just by starting it, but what would be the point of running it when you know its lean. 2 strokes run awesome when they are lean, but then they don't run at all after a few minutes.

I made it about 3/4 of a mile on my first bike when I was 13 then it locked up.
