Well I put in a new clutch, and cable. I adjusted it like your supposed to with the arrows. The problem is the adjuster on the perch needs to be almost all the way out to dis-engage the clutch. I put on an easy pull lever and now with the adjuter all the way out it still creeps when you goose it. Could i have started to weld my ball or whatever happens in there? WHat is the fix for this? Thanks

I've seen them creep before when you rev them because they weren't totally disengaging and when you rev them the friction plates are rubbing on the steel plates, heating up, expanding, and starting to grab a little.

Did you get a NEW clutch cable? What brand did you get? Your basket might be worn and has grooves that are not letting the fiber plates move all the way...

Yeah, cable is brand new as well, so I have a new lever/perch, cable, steel/frictions. I have flex-drive lube in it. The basket is stock I'm sure. I don;t really know how much it has been ridden, a decen tbit I think. WHere are the grooves? WHat about the ball welding issue? Could that be what I have?

Did you put the adjuster at the perch all the way in and then adjust the ball at the pressure plate? The grooves would be on the the fingers of the clutch basket where the plates come in contact, mostly from abuse/dumping it.

I put it in the middle, but then I redid it and I moved it in. THe screw is in tight in the middle, and I don;t know that it will take all the slop out of the cable. It is a cheap cable, not sure of the brand.
