blueboy22 Posted July 30, 2006 Author Report Posted July 30, 2006 how much should a good port work cost? what all does that do to the engine internally? thanks Quote
rocketboy Posted July 30, 2006 Report Posted July 30, 2006 porting is where thereal power is at Quote
blueboy22 Posted July 30, 2006 Author Report Posted July 30, 2006 what do you suggest as far as porting goes? how much $$ will i be putting down for it? Quote
sheefreak Posted July 30, 2006 Report Posted July 30, 2006 Pobably between $300 and $800 depending on what you want. If you go w/a real aggressive port, you will need to think about the cost of the other items you may need to accomodate the power like true and weld crank, billet clutch basket, Toomey or stiffer clutch springs possibly even a lockout etc. PM PassionRE and FASTOYS. Both do good work from what I hear. I believe Jim has a website. Quote
Hilarious Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 A cool head and an adjustable timing plate for bolt on stuff. Bump your compression up a little bit and advance your timing. Then go out and get yourself a port job. Quote
