kman96 Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 i went to install my streamline +2 brake lines tonight, and i am unsure on how to set it up. the stock had the line from the front lever then it split into those to metal tubing lines. the streamline kit didn't come with anything like those metal tubing lines. it came with the line from the lever which goes into the brake line split bracket and then two long lines that thread onto the braket where the lines break in two. when trying to install the new streamline bracket the stock bolt that came on the old bracket that separates the lines in two was too big. also when i found a bolt to fit the streamline brake line spliter bracket it seemed to be very crammed up and didn't really fit. i guess my question is what do i need to do to get these line on there. do i need to somehow use those stock metal brake line tubes or what? Hilarious Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 You dont need to re-use any of the stock fittings. I just installed the same kind of brake lines as you. What I did was zip tie the tee fitting to the little bracket that the stock brake line bolted to. You know the little bracket up behind the radiator near the handle bars. Then run the lines down to your calipers. Run them down through the frame and get em away from your pipes. Quote
