I have a 1989 banshee and I am thinking about going to alcohol. I think that it is a pretty stock bike as it sits. I really don't know I just bought it. It sounds stock and the guy that owned it before me said that he did nothing to it. I think that the top end is ready to go anyway so I thought this might be a good time to do this. I want to try and do most of it myself because the people who will do it for you here are just too expensive. I am pretty mechanically inclined and I think I'll be able to do it I just need a few pointers. I thought about just re doing the top end but I think I just want to do an alcohol bike. I have a 1997 Banshee that is pretty strong the way that it sits and I don't want to mess with it. So any advice or ideas on how to start this project would be very helpful. I know that there is a manual for banshee repairs and rebuilds but I'm not sure if it includes any performance or alcohol inhancements. Thanks for any help!

If you know what to do to the carbs you can do it yourself, but you would be better off to just send your carbs out to get switched over. They have to drill out a bunch of shit and put in WAY bigger jets & junk. Too much for me to try and tackle myself.
