njbanshee Posted July 31, 2006 Author Report Posted July 31, 2006 yeah, just go to racewaypark.com for more info. Quote
trex banshee Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 it could be the location! cuz mine had drag port stock stroke ,cpi inframe and a override and i was runing a 7.42 @82mph Man maybe sumthins fucked up with mine time cause it says I went 9.0 at 79MPH. Thats only three miles an hour slower but over a second and a half on the et. Why is that? I gotta practice alot on the take off, my 60ft time is 2.5! Quote

It sounds like your 60 ft times may be fairly slow.It should do better than 2.5 I think. I've heard of 350's being nearly a second faster than that. Quote

I know I am used to sand draggin and just dumping the clutch, but I couldn't do that the other night cause it would hook up way too hard, but I am going to go back this friday maybe and try it again. badcompany Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 Yea, you should 60 ft better than that. We went out friday night, didnt get to the 6's but ran a 7.19 at 90 mph, with a 1.57 60 ft time. Should keep gettin better. Quote
race-a-holic Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 You might want to consider a small back rest kinda like wicked racing sells.Wish I had one. I actually got pulled off of mine. That's bad. Those little hoosier slicks hook like crazy.Mine will go 6's if I can figure out to hang onto it.That banshee is almost too F.A.S.T.Jeff can build a mean 350. I think those tires you're running will do well, especially while you're working on your launches. I usually don't have problems with mine spinning, but if they do, one good burnout fixes that! I'd love to come up that way sometime, we'll have to try and arrange something soon. My boss is pretty flexible about me taking Fridays off as long as I give him a couple weeks notice  Quote

What day do they race on?If I have a mustang by then,I might bring it. Its at KCIR (Kansas City International Raceway) It is meant for cars but they let quads race every wednesday and friday night which are grudge nights so you just pay 10 dollars to get in and 10 dollars to race as many times as you want from 6:00 to 10:00. No winnings just for sum fun. I can't remember what they call that shit at the beginning but it is some kinda of rubber compound that is really sticky! Bring your mustang too they race them all night long, street bikes too, last friday their was an R6 their on NOS runnin 162MPH in the 1/4 but they only let quads run the 1/8. http://www.kcir.net/~kcir/content/ heres their site. it has a map thing on their so you can plug in your location and it will tell you how to get their. methyman Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 I took my Banshee out this past weekend for the first time since I put it together about a month and half. I had been running a drag chassis TRX250R with a 370 motor with best times of 7.47 at 88mph. I am 6' 4" tall about 265lbs. Got rid of the drag R and built a banshee. Here is a time slip. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 Very nice methyman!!! What size/stroke cylinders are you running? Quote
methyman Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 Very nice methyman!!! What size/stroke cylinders are you running? Big motor for big guy. I was running out of gear at the end of the track. 18/36 gearing with 1-5 over ride. 535 cc motor with alot more in it . Just started tunning it. The previous owner of the motor had only gone 6.4 et and he weights 185 lbs. When I was launching the bike I could feel the tires spinning. I had a friend watching and he confirmed what I had felt. I am running Hoosiers 65-10-10 D15 compund. +10 swingarm with wheelie bar of course. Stock lightened frame by me. Stock flywheel and ignition parts except for Dave Moore Racing TnT ignition box.
