fastLANE Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 I recently picked up a 2004 banshee and the thing blew up. i have the motor in the shop gettin repaired right now. I am pulling the carbs to clean them and i wanted some jetting recomondations. i am at sea level (south florida) and the bike has fmf gnarly pipes, aftermarket reeds, and weisco pistons. Stock filter for now but may run a k&n in the future. What size jets should I be running? Do I need to adjust floats? Air screw? Thanks for any help Quote
fastLANE Posted July 25, 2006 Author Report Posted July 25, 2006 I just broke down one of the carbs to clean it and the jets in there are 280 / 25 does this sound about right in the ball park? Quote
easyrider470 Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 doesn't sound too bad....but the question is what all do you have done to the bike? Also what is your elevation.... I ride in Gordons well all the time and i run a 310 main with Toomey needles.......it works great for me.....all i have is the t-6 pipes and a K+N filter.......airbox chopped off.......but each guy is going to be different so pick and choose what works for you.......i'm 1 1/2 turns out on the air screw by the way.....
