But i have turned my air screws out its about 6 turns out. would have the snurkle off the air box cause this? I have a new filter on it also. Quote

You shouldnt turn your airscrews out more than 3 turns.If you have to go farther than that your pilot is too big. Quote

And taking the snorkle off the airbox will cause the engine to get more air, causing it to run lean, or better if you are too rich all the way through Quote
