bansheefreestyler Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 hey guys. I was putting my banshee back together and noticed there is no lock tab left for my clutch nut. is this tab absolutely necesarry? would I be able to run it for a bit until i get a new tab in? also for the external shift adjustment(the bolt thing with a notch for a flathead screwdriver) is the nut on that absolutly necessary if it is in all the way and tight? Thanks guys BFS Quote
bansheefreestyler Posted July 16, 2006 Author Report Posted July 16, 2006 bump. comeon guys someone has to know Quote
racer Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 yes the lock tab is necessary. i dont know exactly what would happen when you basket leaves it intended position at 8000 rpm, but im sure its unhealthy. and if you external adjustment is threaded all the way in your clutch is probably not adjusted right. but yes it still does need a jam nut on the end of it. fastcar01 Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 Yeah, I would not run without those. And yes, double check that clutch adjustment, you sure it is all the way in, or is it just snugged against the springs? Quote
bansheefreestyler Posted July 17, 2006 Author Report Posted July 17, 2006 alright thanks guys. i will order the tab then. and for the shift adjustment its threaded all the way in. there is no more threads on the screw Quote
