Cascade sells an aftermarket Billet thumb throttle that is longer than the stock one and uses a bearing to replace the stock bushing. Easier to push and it's long enough to push with the heel of your hand

The banshee's thumb throttle is way stiff...I've rode a few raptors and never felt any discomfort with their thumb throttles...

So is there any other real option besides a twist throttle? With a twist I'm afraid of throttling while using the front brake...

it seems to me that most people on this forum only owned quads and i have owned about 10 dirt bikes and a half a dozen quads and to me i have more control with a twist throttle and comfort but then again thats my own personal opinion. i would give the twist throttle a chances. if you dont try it you'll never know and it is under a $100 bucks.

My thumb has also been sore/swollen after a couple continuous hours of riding. But, I agree with the opinions that you need to used the bars to control the bike, but the twist does give you better throttle control. So, like someone else suggested, I started to take Advil my second time out before I ride and it does help. I have a twist throttle on my Tecate 3 and it gets hairy sometimes. I'm keeping the thumb and Advil setup, but I don't race either.
