bansheefire Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 (edited) OK ABOUT A FEW WEEKS AGO i took my top end apert and forgot to drain my heads so coolant spilled all in to my crank.today i was putting everything together but i noticed my crank still had green oily shit from the coolant even after i had drained all the oil out.so i go and put a bit of case 4 stroke oil straight on the crank and now when i kick it or put it in gear and move the bike making the pistons move it spits oil out my intakes. HOW CAN I CLEAN IT PLEASE HELP WANT TO RIDE SUNDAY Edited July 7, 2006 by bansheefire Quote
liquedfire Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 well i just had the same problem but i put 2 much oil in the crank case and bent a rod :: so just start it up and let it run i get coolent in my crank everytime i change my top end and it doesint relly make a diffrence as long as theres not a shit load you will be ok (the only thing coolent does 2 a motor is it wont fire so u might have 2 throw some gas in the carbs) just my 2 cents :baseball_mitt: Quote

Animalman294 Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 There is no oil in the crank area of the motor, its a two stroke. the only oil is in the clutch/ tranny compartment of the motor. Your crank lubrication is done by your mixed gas. But if you are trying to get the water out there shouldn't be that much. You can remove the motor and tip it upside down, but I think with starting fluid and fuel in the carbs, the water will evaporate once the motor is started. Any risidual coolant will work its way out.................. Quote
differentstrokes Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 (edited) If you kick the bike a bunch of times with the ignition off you can get gas out of the crankcase if you flood it, so I don't see why doing the same thing wouldn't get some of the coolant out since it surely isn't much. It should evaporate like animalman said when the bike cranks or the gas gets to it. Edited July 8, 2006 by differentstrokes Quote
thegroup Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 well is there away i can drain my crank compartment??? ya, either take the engine off and dump it out and get a hand siphiner Quote
ojcool Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 ya, either take the engine off and dump it out and get a hand siphiner brake clean then let it dry good and spray 2 stroke oil on the crank and bearings reassemble and start. Quote
creamsickle Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 just to be safe a had that happen and he took it out and turned it upside down and then sprayed with carb cleaner. and before that he poured his race gas and basically filled the crank case with it. it ate away the remaining out and also broke down the radiator fluid and flushed it all out, then he just took some amsoil and relubed it put it together and now it runds great. boonman Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 Put your reeds back in, and kick the hell out of it without spark plugs. It shouldn't spit out of the carb throat, it should come out of the spark plugs. Quote
