87sheerips Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 OK, im running a stock, 14/41 gear ratio right now. I feel like im running out of gear too fast. I trail ride, dune ride, and drag race so i want it to be rideable, but also be able to cruise at high speeds on wide open roads. Heres my Mods' K&N 29mm PWK's Aggressive Dune port Stage IV cool head w/20cc domes FMF gold series Let me know what you think, right now i need to change my rear sprocket, and would like to get away with keeping my front 14T, let me know what ya think! Quote
EastCoast Banshee Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 (edited) You can try to go 38 in the rear. If you just get a 15 in front youll get close to same gear ratio without all the hassle of changing the rear. Edited July 2, 2006 by EastCoast Banshee Quote
bansheeseat$$ Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 You might also get different pipes that will give you more top end pull,Like t-5's you still have good bottom end and it'll pull harder on the top end.My .02 cents. Quote
87sheerips Posted July 2, 2006 Author Report Posted July 2, 2006 true true, great suggestions. I guess ill try a 38 in the rear, since my front is fine and in good shape. I need a rear before I ride again, so ill get a 38 and seee what happens. Keep the suggestions rollin! Quote
