I am looking at getting some new carbs. I have a single carb now and a single pipe as well. My bike is bored .30 over and has a pro design cool head. I was also going to get a new set of pipes in the near future. I was looking to get CPI's or Toomey T5's. I was also thinking about a port job maybe. I was wondering what would be the best kind of carbs + filters to get and also the best size? I do mostly trail riding and hill climbs. Some dragging.

thanks

I agree with the port work first and then the carb switch. If you wanted to go aftermarket I rcommend 28 fs carbs. They perform very well and you can get a new set for under $200

If you get a good port job 28's will be too small. Go with 33's. I only run 33's on my 4mil and I'm starving it, they work good with ported stockers.

I agree with this as far as carbs go, but I also agree with the others saying get the other stuff first.I would go in this order pipes, porting and then carbs depending on the port you get if you still want to ride the trails and have good lowend you might stay with your 2into 1 setup and go with a 35mm or a 38mm and this will help your lowend and be cheaper.Another thing that will really give your lowend a kick in the ass regaurdless of what carbs and pipes your running is to get some small domes in that coolhead to get that compression up but this maight be at the cost of race fuel depending on how big you want the kick to be.
