Ok I ended up buying some CPI's a couple of weeks back and at the same time I put in V-3's. The shee runs good and the plug is brown but I haven't rejetted at all and I was wondering if I'm missing out on more performance.

I'm at sea level. 310/27.5, 2 1/4 out, middle clip, K&N pods, +4 timing, was told when i bought the bike it has a "race port", but I'm not tearing it down till fall to know for sure. I can woop other piped shees( so it seems something has been done) but a 4mil will hand me my azz thats for sure.

Don't want to screw up a good thing since it's running good but it seems like my mains are small compared to what everyone else says there running.

Thanks Geoff

thats funny i would think your mains should be higher then that also are you running stock carbs right? hell i had a stock banshee and put some paul turner mids on it and install the intake kit and removed the air box lid and i am at sea level and had to put 320 mains in.thats the first thing i did to the bike and that was it.....and had 320 mains.....i would think you would have bigger mains then 310......good luck

wow, im running 340's with stock pilots needle moved two clips on T5's and dual K&N's @ sea level...like he said, i would assume you should be alittle higher on the mains...

did you plug chop yet??

Yeah I'm running stock carbs but thats what I'm saying, my mains seem small. I have soem 330's that I might just throw in before I head to the coast for 2 days. I haven't done a plug chop just check them regularly. I live and hour or two from the coast(were I ride) and in town here I don't have any place were I can run it in 6th.

Thanks for the info so far guys

i would take some jets with you just in case hate to see you drive 2hrs and then have to re-jet your bike and then not have the right jet........i had stock carbs i mean everything was stock until i installed the paul turner and modded the air box and ran 320's and moved the needle clip down one notch

Just threw the 330's in and seems to run fine. I've got the 310's that I took out and I've also got some 320's I'll take with me incase. Hopefully it runs good, I'll find out in 24hrs.

Thanks guys

Porting is the wild card here. I could not get my 01 running for anything when I first got it. It had stock carbs, SST's and a play port from GRR. I tried everything, every possible combo of mains, pilots and needle clip positions, it always ran like dick. I put some 33's on and eureka, runs like a raped ape now. Its gonna take alot of trial and error.

Good luck.
