Yesterday when I was out riding I felt something loose. I got looking and it turns out that my axle housing on my swingarm, where my axle goes through has play in it. and a fair amount too. Its not lateral play, when you stand on the quad and rock side to side you can feel the clunk. I was wondering if anyone had the same problem with there shee as I have. And how do I fix it? is it bushings or bearing?

Sounds like the axle itself is loose. It's the two big ass bolts on the left side, they are notorious for backing off. Get a couple of pipe wrenches and some lock-tite and tighten it back up. Don't ignore it, it's one of those easy small problems than could become something big if ignored.

yeah, it could just be that the nuts are loose. tighten them up ( there's a trick to it, do a search) but if they are tight, you'll have to pull the axle out and replace the bearings. it can be a real bitch to get out if it's the first time having it out though. a bmfh will be your best friend  just be careful not to biff up the threads on the axle. and pack that thing FULL of grease when you reassemble it, maybe even put in a grease zerk to keep it lubed up.
