Fastbansh Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 i am so confused right now its not even funny i am about ready to by a four stroke.... my left cylinder will not run at all..i've checked spark which is good compresion is good...i've cleand and inspected my carbs multible times put new plugs in and still nothing swapped plug wires right side still runs left don't..i've even gone as far as poring gas right in the cylinder and it still wont fire. i've checked my reeds and visualy they look fine i am just ready to give up....i have dmc pipes noss head tors elimnator reed spacers boost bottle and thats it nothing real drastic i really hate to take somwhere and have them screw me on bill so any input would be very helpful Quote

I have had better luck spraying gas in threw the back of the carb with an old 409 bottle or something simmilar. Did you look in your pilot jet to make sure there isn't a piece of gunk clogging it? If you rule out fuel delivery and the commpresion is good you may want to consider a leak down test. Sometimes the spark will favor one side but if you have switched the plug wires with no difference then it seams to rule that out. Good luck "dam banshees" Quote

I've had the right cylinder not fire before when the filter was trashed. the air filter is clean ...............i just got the thinking though this is going to sound stupid i had a mouse crawl up inside my air box and had babies i wondering one crawled inside my silencer and went into my exspansion champer....im going to pull it apart tomorrow stranger things have happend................. :baseball_bat: Quote

easyrider470 Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 Man i had the same problem last year....seems silly but did you try to get it to run right with the fuel on RESERVE??????? i know i know it sounds stupid.......try it......if it runs fine then you have clogged screens in your fuel tank....easy fix you just pull the valve off and clean the screens.....give it a wirl in RESERVE and see what happens......I swear i had the same problem and this fixed it.......trust me it's worth a little BACK TO THE BASICS........ Fastbansh Posted June 22, 2006 Author Report Posted June 22, 2006 WELL GUYS ITS FIXED!!!! belive it or not a mouse decided to make him self a nice little home in my pipe which caused the left side to choke itself out.....after about an hour or so my buddy and I finally got the pipe cleaned lets just say lots of air pressure and oil and i nice stiff piece of wire for poking. I just wanted to thank everyone for their input............. Quote
