Lee
I'm a big fan of BitDefender Pro v9. http://www.bitdefender.com the pro version has a firewall (internal registry and external ports), spam blocking, antivirus, and constant monitoring. phreak
avg free editon.... http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 i've been using it for a couple years now. it doesn't eat up too much sytem memory. i've installed it on systems that had norton and mcafee. it detected and removed viruses and trojans that those two never found. best of all....its free. :baseball_w00t: Edited June 19, 2006 by phreak
dajogejr
For Free...Antivir or Avast. Paid, Norton, NOD32, Kaspersky and Bitdefender.... Norton is a resource hog...but it works. As far as finding viruses and trojans with AVG that Norton can't find...I've yet to come across that...and I'm in this business... Norton 2006 does a great job on Spyware, Trojans and worms... AVG is way down on the list...I'll find the write up. The best defense is: Proactive AV Proactive Spyware blocker Any browser other than IE Sofware firewall Hardware Firewall with NAT But, the most important of all is safer browsing habits and email habits...period. Here's some research...case your bored... http://anti-virus-software-review.toptenreviews.com/
