I was looking on the internet and found some things called Velocity stacks. I guess that they clamp on to your carbs and then to the air filters. I have no idea if they even work or what they do, but one guy said that they make such a difference that you have to change jetting. If any one out there is running these please explain them.

Thanks

Here is a pic of them on 34mm pj's with k&n's. All my 4-stroke buddies swear by these and even make their own. If they do anything let me know cause i would like to build some or find some to buy.

I dont know if the pics are working or not, but I hope you all get the idea.

I'll sell you one of those Tornado things you can put in your intake tube of your fuel injected car, so that it creates a more turbulent intake charge to better atomize the fuel. Oh wait the fuel is injected just before the intake valve, oops forgot that part. Not knocking you at all, but this sounds like a bunch of hokey crap. There is mixed debate as to whether or not reed spacers (think of them like changing the length of the intake runners on a car) make any kind of noticeable difference. This "velocity stack" setup shouldn't be able to make any kind of difference that you would ever notice. Sounds like a play on Hilborn style injector stacks, but in this app it just doesn't seem plausible. <_<

They say that it creates a vortex in side the air filter and "RAMS" the air into the carbs. "I found that today." I really wish I knew if it works or not. I kinda agree with you on the whole idea but some people stand by them. I only use the reed spacers to get my big carbs off of the clutch.

If you are unsure about spending too much money,Go to your local plumbing store and get some rubber water line couplers that fit your carbs and then get some pipe that fits the clamp ons and put them in the couplers.Shouldnt cost any more than $15 or $20.

I think that the point of this post has become a little confusing. I dont care about cost, that is not why this post is up here, I was just wandering if anyone knew if they worked, had information about them, or were using them and could say wether they gave improvements or not.
