Satsol67 Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 (edited) Dont rag me to bad if this is a stupid question but I was wondering if clear vinyl hoses that you can get at lowes or home depot would work for the coolant lines that come from the water pump and the motor? Not the main hoses. I want to get rid of the black ones. I was wondering if the vinyl ones would hold the pressure if there is any pressure in them. Or if they would dry out and get briddle. dajogejr Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 There is not pressure on them...they are just overflow hoses, in case of a tipsy or stuck float... There's two ways to look at it. You can spend a little more money, get clear fuel hose...and it'll last a while. You can spend less money, and replace it once it does get brittle/break. I bought about 3 or 4 feet for my leak down tester, obviously more than enough. Since the factory overflows have been on mine since 96...shee needed a fresh look... Really...it's no big deal at all...either way. Quote
