JWall Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 Well I just bought a brand new shee a couple of days ago, I changed to K & N filter then took my snorkel off and it ran like shit. So I through my snorkel back on and it still runs like shit and seems to be overreving up in gears 3,4,5. Any ideas will I have to rejet? Quote
watkins Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 (edited) Yes you need to re-jet. With the snorkle off & a K&N try 5 sizes up on the mains and try 2 turns out on the airscrew. Edited May 27, 2006 by watkins Quote
Animalman294 Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 Watkins is right rejet and try it again. If that doesn't work while you had it apart you may not have put something back right or you jarred something loose. The overrevving sounds like it could be an air leak. To check this spray carb cleaner or starting flued around carbs and if the revs change its a leak. But you definately need to rejet because you changed the airflow rate..... Quote

2003LimitedBanshee Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 You should not have to change your pilot, and with stock pipes and all just a K&N filter with the snorkel and a stock lid, I would guess you would only need to go about 3 sizes at most. Also as mentioned you want to check for air leaks. Are you familiar with WOT plug checks? Quote
