i have a 87 banshee...had it for a while..summer is here..want to go out at night..i have the ricky stator Xenon Bulbs..but when the bike is running my lights dont work...the bike runs great.i have a 97 wiring harness..ok the fun part..when you go to turn on the lights, notting.but if you hook up 2 amps(positive) to the light blue wire in the back by tail light.while i am doing this i take the negitive and hold it to a ground..and my lights turn on...both high and low beams are working...sorry if this is hard to follow...but anyone have a ideal ?

sounds like your lighting coil is out on your stator, or you might have a bad connection fromt eh stator to the wiring harness.

You could get a DIMM pretty cheap it would help.

Grab a new rickystator with the adjustable timing plate. Won't hurt.

sounds like the same problem i had when i redid me shee..... i had two wires reversed in the round plug up under the radiator. It was the Black/white and black wires reversed. It ran fine... but my lights didn't work. If i removed the negative off the tail light, the off/run switch would not shut off my motor. Could be that if you have that problem. Hope that helps.
