Breton Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 I just recently took apart my shee to paint the frame. Now that i have it all together im having trouble remembering where the coolent lines go, i have all the main lines from the pump and head to the rad..but its the small overfill lines that im having trouble with. I cant remember if there is an air vent line, and where it attached to, and where the lines for the overfill tank are supposed to go. I have it hooked up so the top line from the rad, goes to the top connection on the overfill tank, and the drain line from the overfill tank goes to the T to the water pump and a line into the crank..but im pretty sure that isnt right, cause now i have a left over line...someone please help me..i wanna go riding soon! And sorry about the big A$$ story.. Thanks alot in advance Quote
trail rider Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 you got it back wards the, overflow hose that runs from the top of your radiator goes to the BOTTOM of the coolant bottle and the top hose is the vent line, you would just be pumping it back into your tranny, cause thats how the guy that we bought ours off of had it running. the vent tube from the water pump can be run straight up the frame in front of it. no need for the T, just run the case vent straight down between the swingarm and case. Or just do what we did and run the rad over flow line straight down the frame and get rid of the bottle no need for it. Quote
batoutofshell Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 Your best bet is to go to a yamaha parts website and look at the finches they show it all with pics. Quote
Breton Posted May 24, 2006 Author Report Posted May 24, 2006 Thanks alot...some one told me the engine might over heat without the overfill tank..is this true..or does your banshee run fine without the tank? Thanks again, much appriciated Quote
