Air/Fuel mixture setup

I just purchased a 89 banshee and for some reason it bogs out bad in 3rd and 4th gear, but 1,2,5,6 it will run strong and want to go over backwards. I was wondering if it could be something to do with my air/fuel ratio, i know it has the stock Mikuni's on it, and i was wondering if any knew how much i should back the screw off?? 1 1/2 turns?? 2 turns?? 1 turn?? i run br8es plugs, and also run premium gas through her, what could be my problem??

check your needle see where its at air screw should be 1.5 out for stock,don't use the air screw to set your idle use the screws on top the tors, tun each the same. what kind of pipes airbox,filter

I run a stcok air box, stock filter, and Dg twin Pipes

I believe 1 1/2 turns is stock this should be fine, and don't set your idle using them.
