87sheerips Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 OK, my buddy took apart his carbs, now when you turn the fuel on gas flows thgough the overflow on the left carb only. What is letting the fuel flow though like this?? Quote
racer Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 hung float. tap the bowl with a screwdriver or something. if that doesnt stop it clean the carbs out and check for proper float height. Quote
fast500#12 Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 stuck float. tap on the float bowl with the handle of a screw driver, that should un stick it. if not tear it back down and look for particals of dirt and reclean. Quote

87sheerips Posted May 3, 2006 Author Report Posted May 3, 2006 yep, thats what I thought too. Tappy tap, still fuel. Ill tell him to rip them apart and clean them better. I know thats pretty much the only thing to cause this.... Quote
Eazy Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 I had the same problem, on the same side..It'd even leak fuel, while running down the road!! It ended up being a bad needle valve/seat in that carb..Now, I just need to tune them... Quote
