BilDaKid Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 So here's the problem. The banshee will shift fine up and down to every gear. The problem is the shifter doesn't return from a shift. If you're downshifting, it stays in the "down" position and will not downshift again till the lever is brought back to center. center being the middle of the arc the shifter makes. My buddy has a clymers, so I'll have that when I tear into it. I'm really hoping I won't have to split the case. So, has anyone had this happen before or does anyone have any advice? Quote
bansheeseat$$ Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 Pull the clutch cover of and check the spring for the shift acentric.Sounds like the spring broke. Quote
BilDaKid Posted April 30, 2006 Author Report Posted April 30, 2006 (edited) I have a billet cover and then there's the whole side cover. Is the spring behind just the billet round cover, or is it behind the whole black one? Thanks for the help. Edited April 30, 2006 by BilDaKid Quote
