DirtyFitz Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 Now I know I should know this kind of thing but what affects the idling on the Shee? I have the TORS caps still on so would it be the knob on the left TORS cap? Or is the air/fuel screw? Quote
blueshee03 Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 the knob on the tors cap.i would'nt turn the airscrew unless your rejetting other wise you might lean it out and burn up your pistons. Quote
DirtyFitz Posted April 14, 2006 Author Report Posted April 14, 2006 Alright well I rejetted my bike and put a 270 in it ( had a 280). It was running rich so I dropped the main and hopefully that'll help. Also when I did pull the carbs I did what the clymers manual said and put my air/ fuel screw to 2.0 turns. Before I did this they were both way off, I believe right side was 1.5 turns and left was 3.5 so I put them back at 2.0. How can I tell if I need to adjust them ? I haven thad a chance to start the bike yet so when I do how do I know if 2.0 turns isnt enough or is too much? Quote
DirtyFitz Posted April 14, 2006 Author Report Posted April 14, 2006 I do believe its the stock 25 Quote
Wicked98Shee Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 try setting both airscrews at .5 to 1 turn out then just tweak it for best bottom end 1/8 turn at a time. ride each time and see how it reacts to the changes. be patient and look for best response. Quote
DirtyFitz Posted April 14, 2006 Author Report Posted April 14, 2006 Ok and just so that Im 100% positive I do twist on the LEFT Tors knob and not the right to set the idle? Quote
Wicked98Shee Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 ya the left side is the one ya adjust .. Quote
MILO Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 won't adjusting one and not the other throw the carbs out of sync? i always thought you should make equal adjustments to each one. Quote

DirtyFitz Posted April 15, 2006 Author Report Posted April 15, 2006 Alright, Ill be testing next weekend to get jetting and everything good. Thanks for the advice, ill remember to adjust both knobs on the top of the TORS. Quote
Shee-Male Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 yes, the pilot screw is the little slot screw on the side of the carb, the essentially fine tune your pilot jet. Don't worry you can't hert the motor with the adjustments, you will only burn up the pistons if the main jet is too small. Quote
