Wicked98Shee Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 sometimes the sideplate will stick on the o-ring chains, take a small flat tip screwdriver and gently pry it apart. lol ya might have to get a little rough with it if it's really stuck. Quote

Wicked98Shee Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 ya the sideplate that was under the clip ya removed. most of the time they come right off, but they can be a bastid sumtimes. Quote
dennybyz Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 if the chain is junk ...take a set of oxy/acetylene torchs and destroy it .....if chain is good be careful at taking it apart ....cutting is fastest way Quote
MILO Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 if you're having that much trouble getting it apart, wait till you try to get it back together. those little x or o rings can be a pain to get compressed to get the plate and clip back on. tusk's little chain press works great, otherwise i used a mini c-clamp to compress it. but after having the chain press, it's definitely the way to go.
