csrmel Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 hey guys, im from central-south florda and am just getting back into the quad scene again. years ago i had a tricked out banshee with too many mods to list. the quad was stolen from me and i never got it back. i had so much time into that thing that it hurts to think about it. after it was stolen i swore off quads and most off roading in general. i threw away all my extra parts from the banshee and gave up off roading in general. just pissed me off to think about some jerk out there riding on MY quad. the quad i put all my time and money into. he is having fun somewhere on my quad. so its been quite a few years now and i finally decided to get over my loss and get back into the quad scene again. i went out and bought a new banshee, still in the crate. my dad came along and bought a new raptor 350 so i would have some riding company. we broke in our quads last weekend and had a blast tearing it up in some sebring trails. man i tell you it feels good to have a banshee to call my own again. it feels real good. but i have a problem. and that is locking up our quads. i see the dealer has some nice thick kryptonite cables for $80, but is there a better or cheaper or easier way? i know that no banshee is safe from a thief, but ill be damned if i am going to have my second one stolen as well. i plan on storing the banshee in a industrial cargo container, the kind of huge thing that new cars from from japan inside. but id also like to lock it up internally with some cables or monster chains. how do all of you secure youre banshees? thanks. I swear, the lock cost more than the huge chain I then just weaved the chain through the frame, to my loading ramp and secured with the lock Quote

ellison445 Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 Welcome to the HQ bro, I secure my banshee with these and a little something I keep under the bed. I dont care who you are, aint no way you getting past these 3 without me hearing you Quote
csrmel Posted April 4, 2006 Author Report Posted April 4, 2006 nothing really happend so far. i called the police but theres not much they can do besides making a report. i lost my $350 grille. i plan on going to the local pawn shops once a week and asking if anyones came in to pawn a new bbq grille. im freaking out at this point. i found some cargo containers in a bargain trader for $500 used. i think one of these would be a very good way to protect my things. they look like this. 1 of those would be pretty thief proof, coupled with 4 of the baddest locks i can find. nothing short of a cutting torch should be able to get through that, i hope.
