jeenyus Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 i had fatties before and T5 rocks... fatties have a smoother powerband but toomeys pull way harder! and damn.. i like that sound, they have a throtty sound in the lower rpms and they scream in the upper rpms. heres my question, i didnt change jets when i put the T5, still 260, stock needle clip postiton, stock needle jet. should I change needle clip position one clip higher? it will lean the mixture? cuz right now it seems to bugg in the lower rpms but when i wide open the damn thing its okey... Wicked98Shee Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 260's dam that really sounds lean, i think thats what comes recomended for the fatty pipes but with the T-5's ... i would step up to a 30 pilot, 300 main, 4th clip from the blunt end on the needle ..... do a plug reading to see where you are at as far as your jetting Quote

There shouldent be a change in the size of the main jet by changing from the fattys. Maybe one size you would just have to try it out, but id put in 27.5 pilots and adjust the airscrews. Also, what have you done to your airbox? Quote
2003LimitedBanshee Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 Let us know what you've done to the airbox, your elevation, and temperature, and I bet we can get you super close off that. Even with the stock box, I think 260's would be a bit lean. I always seemed to think that the fatties liked a slightly larger pilot than T5's, but a smaller main. I would bet that your bog is a lean bog, and likely you need to lower your clip position (ie. raising the needle), but need more info to be sure. Quote

Lid on was running 280's. 800ft elevation Now I run clamp-ons and jetting is 4th clip on a Vitos needle, 27.5 pilot and 320 main. Quote
