Mullet Man Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 (edited) whats the deal with this? it sticks closed to where i have to pry sometimes with 2 hands to get it open. what a PITA. is there any easy fix for this? common issue? also, it looks like the splines on my shifter are stripped out and the bolt will not tighten down enuf to keep it in place any more. whats a good cheap upgrade or fix? it cant fall off because the peg wont let it slde far enuf to come completely off, just makes it difficult to select gears sometimes. caused me to get stuck on a steep hill climb yesterday because i couldnt upshift. Wicked98Shee Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 i use a little chain lube on the pivot point on mine to keep it from sticking .. i would dremel out the pinch slot on ur shifter to gte more clearance to tighten it up enough. good luck and waitin to run into ya out ridin Quote
