400rednEX Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 i did a search but couldn't find the threads. i'm going to put on one of those inline temp guages on and was wondering which hose to put it on. i was thinking it should be on the hose going to the radiator to measure the temp before cooling. the water flows from the pump to the radiator and then back into the top of the head right? sheefreak Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 Doesn't matter. I've seen people run it either way Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 I think the best place to put it would be the hose leaving the motor Quote
RIPPEN Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 I put mine in line right out of the head. Figured that would be the best place to get the most accurate temps... RIPPEN Quote

Mullet Man Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 yep, you want to know what the temp is when exiting the motor, not entering it. guage should be displaying the hottest, not the coolest Quote
400rednEX Posted March 27, 2006 Author Report Posted March 27, 2006 is the warpdrive guage as easy to see as it looks in the ads? you don't really need to see it on the fly, but you do need to see it. Quote
sheefreak Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 If you guys get bored, throw it on the other hose. Guarentee it won't be even noticeable on most temp guages. Quote

RIPPEN 492042[/snapback] the head or as close as ya can get it to the head will give the most accurate readings. the top radiator hose goes to the head, i would place it ( inline temp gauge) as close as possible to the head Quote
