yamahakid1 Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 im running at the oregon dunes with im jsut gonna tell you the main size which is 310's and i have reed spacers, mild port and polish ,wiseco pro lites, and pro circuit pipes head just got shaved to .025 over. since i will be at sea level will premium gas be good? because the only other place i know of that sells high octane gas around my area is at 118 octane. 80overShee Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 Do some mixing... buy some 118 and mix it with the 92, 93, 94 (whatever it is in your area) Thats about the most cost efficient way to get the correct octane rating. Remember, too much octane isn't a bad thing, but too little is VERY bad so if you mix, remember to err on the side of caution. Quote
Justintoxicated Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 do a compression test, but I would think you should be ok on pump gas. I believe .040 over is where they draw the line and you must use race fuel. Quote
