sschevy383 Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 hey guys, i went riding in hazleton Pa yesterday and i couldnt get my banshee to run right at all untill i removed my airbox lid. I was surprised cause back when i was stock, i never had problems. The Elevation where i live is 250 ft...and where we went riding was 1700. Do you think that 1450 ft would make that much difference? I have 300's in there and it had no top end whatsoever, it would bogg like crazy. wouldnt run above 130 all day. Which is good, but i was riding hard climbing the coal hills. Has anyone ever had to do that much of a jet change for 1450 ft?? Also, on the air/fuel screws....is turning it in leaning it out, or its turning it out? Ed Quote
Banshee~ Posted March 21, 2006 Report Posted March 21, 2006 What are you mods? Im guessing pipes, k&n w/ the lid off? When I had those mods I ran a 320 mains 30 pilots at the same elevation. The airscrew adjust 0-1/8 throttle, so that wouldent have anything to do with our problem. Leave the lid off if you have an aftermarket filter and throw in some 320 mains and if it still bogs then go down to a 310. tip: if you have a prefilter you can always yank it off if its bogging. sschevy383 Posted March 21, 2006 Author Report Posted March 21, 2006 (edited) damn I thought my mods were in my Signature...sorry guys 03 shee, T-5's, + 5 degrees on timing, Vforce 3's, 135 cranking PSI with a UNI filter Also ran into some more problems.... Now she wont start unless i kick her like 15 times. It always started on the 2nd kick before. Also, if i pull the choke out, it will rev higher. Is this correct? again, i have 300 mains...sounds like i wanna be more like 290-280. I have 6 of holes drilled in my airbox with the air plugs in there, but it was still too rich up the mountians.
