I just bought my banshee from a friend, and it doesnt run. I have no spark but has had a new cdi, stator, and coil installed recently and it ran with those installed. He said there wa s a pop from the right cylinder and that cylinder would not run. It would take a shit load of kicks to start it and constantly working the throttle to keep it running. I checked compression and it would only get up to about 85 and than it would start to bleed off and the guage would drop after i stopped kicking it. I deassembled the top end it all appears to be okay. The top of the piston is just black from carbon, the skirt, cylinder wall, and bottom end all look okay. Could it just have been the head gasket bleeding of cylinder pressure? Is there anyway of testing the cdi, ignition coil, and stator indepently to see where the failure is? Is the choke tube rubber or plastic?:wacko:;):shrugani:

sounds like that banshee isn't 2fast4neone JK I think your best bet would be to take it to a shop cause theres a million things that could be worng iwth it from bad electrical/to carbs  just my .02 though

My Banshee won't run either and it has no spark. I am at my wits. Thre is no way of testing the CDI. The coil and stator can be tested. The best thing to do is buy a Clymer banshee repair manual. Also, before you start replacing expensive electrical parts, see if you can borrow the parts from a friends Banshee. They are simple to remove/replace. In any case, there are a million tests that can be performed, so buy the repair manual.
