Bigvincent Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Just getting ready to have the cylinders bored but I am not sure how big to go. Right now it is on stock bore (completely stock engine except pipes) and I have a pair of 34mm carbs to throw on. Any suggestions?? TIA Quote
blueshee03 Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 i'f it were me i'd just bore to the next size or just what it takes to clean up the cylinder walls .there is no real gain in power in boring bigger than you need to. Quote
Wallrat Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 Is there anything wrong w/ the current bore? If not, don't bother. Gains are boring are well...boring. Mainly you just decrease the life of your cylinders. Quote
broke Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 Let the shop that'g goin to bore them tell you what the cylinders will need to become round again. Only bore when you "HAVE" to. Quote
Bigvincent Posted March 5, 2006 Author Report Posted March 5, 2006 I wish I could keep the bore but when the piston blew it scored the one wall. So basically I should just bore what I need...cool ,Thanks for your help. Quote
