Alright i had my banshee out today for the first time, since strippingiti apart in November. It was pulling like a mofo and no clutch slippage! CLutch was perfect! There was about 4 inches of snow on the ground and my tires were basically baldies.... SO anywAY I am riding i pull the clutch lever in to shift and i felt that there was no pull it was basically the feeling you get when you snap your cable! Well I pulled over and checked to see if my cable broke...IT wasn't! I can pull the clutch lever in and it pulls that peice in above the case in, but it does not recoil! What can my problem be? I mean the clutch could not of went like that! I also used Rotella 85 wt gear oil for my gears, this is the first time i put that in too...

I agree. Same thing happened to me and it was that locknut. If it didn't get chewed up you can save urself from having to replace the new fluids by laying the bike on its left side.

maybe it welded the ball to the adjuster.thats pretty heavy lubricant for winter time use in a wet clutch.mayb you just need different oil in tranny.just pull the clutch cover and check it out.
