You can just unplug the TORS module, which is located just in front of the fuel petcock on the frame. It's a black thing that looks important, but looks can be deceiving :P

i got a 04 banshee my switch was up in the thumb throttle, after i disconnected the carb wires as soon as the throttle would shut up agaisnt that switch it would shut off i jus took that lil switch out and zip tied it to the frame in the front didnt bother tryin to bypass it for not it has worked for me

The answer is no.

 

The switches (whether you are talking about the switches in the carb caps, or the switch in the throttle housing) sometimes have to be 'on' to work, sometimes have to be 'off' to work. The status of one has to match (that doesn't mean the same, btw) the status of the other.

 

As stated, unplug the TORS control unit and the throttle housing switch (both have harness connectors) and the TORS will no longer be effective.

 

Easier to see what's going on with the fuel tank off....
