tithead Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 i was reading a post by a guy on another forum about putting silikone in handle bars. was wandering if anyone had heard of this? and if they have, if it really works "stopping vibrations". i cant see it making that much of a difference but would like to see some veiws on this... tithead Quote
RNBRAD Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 I would assume it would be like adding weighted bar ends on a bike which helps. May look into an anti-vibe stem if it's a big problem for you. Quote
ellison445 Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Yeap, it works... I have seen it more on the kids bikes though Quote
Big Blue Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Ive heard of people putting lead or steel shot in their bars. Quote
FASTOYS Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 I tried it on the Tractor (Rappy) and didnt notice much difference. Just cant wheelie it now. NOT! Anti vibe stem DID help though! Quote
tithead Posted March 4, 2006 Author Report Posted March 4, 2006 thanks for the info guys. i think ill try it on my renthals before i swap them for my fat bars, suppose its the only way ill find out if it makes a difference or not. Quote
hittintrees srh Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 so what, you just squeeze a tube of silicone into your bars-is that what your talkin about sounds goofy but if you say it works.................... Quote
