yamahakid1 Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 what do i need to put a +4 stroker crank on my stock bore engine? Quote
Chemical Castration Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 Well first you need a stroker crank to drop in. Then get some custom domes, or you could use a spacer plate. Quote
glamisrat Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 You can have a stock head modified to except the lengthend stroke but you will still need to have the cylinders ported for the 4mm stroker. Quote
Wallrat Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 Crank - should go longrod at the same time to increase reliability (wiseco h129 is a good example) spacer plate - okay -or- stroker domes or cut stock head - better 4mm specific porting pistons - 795 series if you went w/ the longrod carbs - cuz the stock ones will be too small intakes - to fit the new carbs filters or airbox adapter reeds - so you aren't starving the engine w/ stock reeds engine seals, gaskets, yamabond 4, etc pipes - if you don't already have em Basically about $2000-$2500 for everything Quote
