biggun6ss Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Has been a while since I last started (about 1 month) and now Im having trouble. I put on my clean clamp ons, turned the key and started to kick (pulled out choke to first notch where I usually do). Kick it awhile but it won't start. Take a beer break and try again. It starts but it is shooting tons of gas out the tail pipes. What could be causing my problems? When I say shooting I mean like 5 ft!! Quote
woodro77 Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 turn your gas off when done riding, happen to me once on a kx 250 ,shot fuel like a fire hose , killed a 25 foot circle of my lawn. i think the floats get stuck and fuel keeps dumping into the the cylinder and then into pipe. try cleaning carbs Quote
biggun6ss Posted February 20, 2006 Author Report Posted February 20, 2006 Checked the carbs they are clean and no stuck floats. I always run my banshee out of fuel before it sets. I turn the fuel off and let it run till it dies if I know it will be setting a while. Do I just let it run till it burns all the gas out or do I need to do something else? Quote
