Bansheeduner02 Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 ALright Im Getting a 5mm crank with a 4mm longer stroke and i going to have to get any type of spacer or anything so the pistons dont hit the head or anything like that? Quote
banshee332 Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 you can get a spacer plate or get your domes or stock head cut to take the bigger stroke. Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 You will also need to run Blaster pistons, or the 795 series Wiseco pistons, because of the longer rods. With the Blaster pistons, you will have to have your cylinders bored out to .080 over, but if you go smaller on the bore, you will have to run the 795's. Quote
Bansheeduner02 Posted February 16, 2006 Author Report Posted February 16, 2006 is vitos the only place to get a spacer plate? Quote

Try Jim from passion racing, he could also port your cylinders if you want them ported. His screen name on here is passionRe Quote
lowriderb Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 your best running motor would be one that is ported to run with out the spacer and the domes cut to let the stroke run out the top of the cylinders.. you wont see much of a gain in performance if you run stock ported jugs with a spacer plate.. and i would recommend running the 795 series pistons over boring your cylinders out to .080 over and loosing what good bores you may have left in the cylinders you have now.. Wallrat Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 Don't forget you're also gonna need carbs, clutch, reeds, porting, new domes/cut head, 795 pistons, and all the usual gaskets n' crap. Quote
